Hello, is this type of bike rack suitable for use with traditional ladies town bicycles? Also is there a size restriction? Our bikes are 17" & 22" frames.

Does this need to be fixed into a certain type of wall? I have internal walls that are plasterboard so would worry about the mount being pulled off.

"Hi Rob,
Thanks for your enquiry, the Gear Up Off-the-wall 2-bike Vertical Rack does need to be mounted to a solid point. It won't be ok to use this with plasterboard and the included bolts although there are plasterboard specific fixings available from hardware stores that may be suitable.

It depends on the weight of the bikes that you are using but i would expect that it would need further reinforcement to be permanently secure on a plasterboard wall.

Fixing a wooden board to the plasterboard with plenty of plasterboard specific fixings then mounting the rack to the wood would be a possible option.

Alternatively if you could find the joists in the wall and fixing the rack through the plasterboard into the wood would give a solid mounting.
